As you may or may not know, On Saturday June 7th Erie Insurance had to shut down it’s systems for the better part of 3 weeks due to an Information Security Event. We are happy to report all systems are back up and running as of Saturday June 28th.
If your Erie Insurance payments were set up for auto-withdrawal between June 7th and June 28th, you will notice that withdrawal was not made…….It will not be made at all in the month of June and added to your July withdrawal amount. As of June 22nd, Erie began mailing debit withdrawal notice of that double payment starting with July 7th withdrawal dates. So please make note and make sure your June payments remain in your account for their eventual withdrawal in July.
A manual payment can be made up to 10 days prior to the next withdrawal date through your Erie Online account or going to erieinsurance.com to make a one-time payment.
Notices of cancellation for non-payment of premium during this time period are receiving a 30-day extension to make a payment. NO LATE CHARGES will be applied for delayed payments during this system outage.
Lastly, if you submitted a claim during that time and are experiencing any delays or communications issues with the company, please let us know so we may assist in getting things back on track.
We appreciate the patience and understanding our clients have given us over the last several weeks. Thank you!
